Leading up to Christmas, we are presenting the holdings in CB Fonder’s funds. In door six, we find Fresenius, a holding in the CB European Quality Fund, and California Water Services, a holding in the CB Save Earth Fund.

Fresenius – Cares for patients worldwide with both basic and advanced therapies and hospital care.
⭐ Family Company: The company was founded in 1912 by pharmacist Eduard Fresenius and has since grown from a family business into a global healthcare giant with over 190,000 employees.
⭐ Dialysis Products: Its subsidiary, Fresenius Medical Care, introduced the first dialysis product with the polysulfone filter, a technology that is now standard in dialysis.
⭐ Multiple Diseases: Fresenius addresses both acute and chronic illnesses throughout the entire healthcare chain.
🌱 Fresenius actively works with the Global Sustainability Goals and has applied for SBTi-verified CO2 reduction targets.

California Water Services – Provides water to over 2 million people.
⭐ Broad Geography: Despite the name, subsidiaries deliver water and wastewater services in states such as Hawaii, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington.
⭐ Not Just Wastewater: The company also holds patents and investments for water purification; for example, they have installed advanced purification systems.
⭐ Water Supply: To secure water supply, the company uses a mix of methods: groundwater, surface water sources, and sometimes the purchase of water from other suppliers.
🌱 California Water Services‘ services address several of the Global Sustainability Goals, not least Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
